Ive had a bit pay card for almost 4 years and never really had a problem Just recently I had two charges on my card from Coinbase one for $800 and one for $555 that happen on January 27 I called customer service to inform them of these transactions that they were fraudulent they took the report over the phone and asked me to fax them more information as I did I received a letter back from them saying that there was nothing wrong with the transaction I called Coinbase which was very helpful and they said there is no way that anyone can use a virtual card to obtain cryptocurrency on their website because of the layers of security that they have I went back to Bitpay to ask them to re-open the fraud case and to contact coin base hopefully they can figure this out but the customer service at Bitpay is very frustrating because you cannot talk to anyone Everything is done through email and through faxing album to the 21st-century They should be very easy to figure it out the account was hacked and bitpay put a picture of your virtual card and the C vnumber right on your page so if anyone gets in they have access to your phones which is totally crazy But thankfully they were used at a company like coin base who has very many layers of protection Hopefully I will get my money returned but I am hoping Bitpay goes the extra mile to realize that this was a *** job and it should be very easy to figure out I had nothing to do with it And todays technology to prove that multiple times The customer service in the fraud department is basically invisible and I have been dealing with this for a month and Im getting frustrated by the day So bottom line is everything was great up till now but I am not sure your funds will be safe if they will allow people to *** into the account and just use your virtual card and spend it anywhere especially cryptocurrency Which is pretty anonymous anonymous

One of my $300 transactions was cancelled from a different company and they sent it back to my bitpay card, unfortunately for me Bitpay doesn't seem able to receive payments sent back so I lost $300. During the process I tried to load more money onto my card and I can only assume bitpay paused my transactions because that money was also nowhere to be found.

In a nutshell, I've lost a total of $450 by using bitpay card, and customer service isn't reliable here. For one, the customer service website is called "pissed consumer" which is insulting to anyone that had legitimate functional issues with their application.

Overall, I don't recommend this app to anyone.

Find a crypto card with a valid customer service team that can explain application problems or potentially walk you through the process of reimbursement if THEY ever made an issue. Do not use this app.
